About SERVIEW » University program "Impulse"

Currently, the grade of organisation of the service and project management discipline is, in practice as well as scientifically, only at a low level, and there are only few established structures for targeted further development. This is a fact, even though these topics are increasingly mission critical for businesses.

Thus, there was a need for action that ultimately led to the cooperation initiative of SERVIEW. The services are categorically available to all participating colleges. SERVIEW's primary objective is not sponsoring the colleges financially, but to offer a platform for cooperation and networking.

The things SERVIEW provides

  • Professional resources (qualified employees for study projects, final theses etc.) Practical offering (internships, practical projects etc.)
  • Qualification offers (free participation in trainings)
  • Professional media (literature, professional games etc.)
  • Participating in exam fees under certain conditions
  • Contacts to the market (professional networking for students)

SERVIEW's goals

  • Targeted sponsorship of students performing above-average for future recruitment
  • Transferring practical competencies to the colleges, in order to optimise the education of the students
  • Initiating an overarching professional discussion regarding current and perspective topics
  • Impulses for enhancing the reputation of service and project management in science and the consciousness of businesses alike

Possibilities for students

The sponsoring actions are available to all students of the colleges registered in the higher education cooperation. Those who wish to benefit from them must state this in a qualification application As a matter of principle, each student may benefit from more than one sponsoring action per year – even though the offer is primarily meant to reach as many people as possible. The decision about each participation can be made jointly with the respective college teacher, but SERVIEW carries the final authority. Appeals against these decisions are not possible.

The sponsoring actions offered by SERVIEW do not include obligations for the colleges, college teachers or students. However, participation in the sponsoring programme does presuppose a professional cooperation interest from the college, as well as a formal application. All involvement offers in the cooperation network are voluntary.

With its cooperation, the college agrees to have its name and logo used by SERVIEW in presentations of the cooperation network. In addition, the college agrees to actively present the contents and application procedure of the SERIVEW Impulse programme on the webpage of the college/faculty and to position SERVIEW there as a company accordingly.
